Our health and wellness program consists of a broad range of initiatives aimed at providing staff with easy access to activities and information relating to their physical and mental health and wellbeing. Our overall purpose is to optimise satisfaction, engagement and ultimately, help our staff achieve a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.
Our focus on physical health includes the following:
Health and Safety training for staff
Promotion of an ergonomically sound workplace by providing information on ergonomics and assessments
A range of sporting activities throughout the year (i.e. netball, soccer, beach volleyball and Firm sponsored registration in events such as the City to Surf, Nissan Corporate Challenge, PWC Cool Night classic)
Regular topical ‘lunch and learn’ sessions to increase awareness of physical health issues.
Our focus on mental health includes the following:
Regular topical ‘lunch and learn’ sessions aimed at facilitating a healthy, positive mentality
Our flexible work practices give every individual the opportunity to apply for a flexible work arrangement, with the aim of facilitating work/life balance
An employee assistance program provided by PrimeXL is available to all employees who would like to discuss personal or professional issues with a trained counsellor
Our mentoring program matches practitioners in a mentor/mentee relationship, which provides a “go to” person with whom you can discuss professional development and seek guidance on a range of issues.
Our EAP service is available through Assure, a well-respected provider, offering psychological advice, counselling and guidance.
The main features of this service are:
Self referral – no requirement to go through Human Resources
Professional, qualified, caring and experienced counsellors
Access to urgent counselling provided
Provided by Jackson McDonald at no cost to the individual
We strongly believe in and advocate our Employee Assistance Program as a supportive and preventative strategy to manage and reduce the impact of personal and professional concerns on work performance and an employee’s overall well-being.
